Yesterday evening I went with my flatmates to the movies! We went to watch Inception, which is a very complex and complicated movie. It had in the maximum something like five or six layers. It’s difficult to describe; it’s about a bunch of guys who get into people’s dreams to extract information from the subconsciousness or to plant ideas and information into their heads. Pretty weird!
Anyways, in the movie they then say, that the subconsciousness has different layers and that they have to go within the dream into a dream to come to the lower levels of the subconsciousness. Sounds complicated and it actually is. So in the end, they are in the dream of a dream of a dream… bla bla bla… suddenly you have a pyramid of five or six story layers with one story line, which makes it extremely exhausting to watch. You really have to focus on the movie, because if you don’t concentrate or get distracted you suddenly cant understand the next 30 minutes of the movie.
Anyways, after the movie was over we were heading back to the flat. On the way we agreed to go for a beer to the crappy bar, called Taxi Take Away, which is just downstairs from our flat. It’s a real crap shack, but the beer is cheap and somehow the place is funny! We were sitting there for an hour or so, had three beers each and went then home.
It was a really good evening and I liked to hang out with the guys. Of course, they know each other already so long and have their inside jokes, but still it was fun!
