Strange Day!

Today was extremely strange! There was a lot to do and I was busy the whole morning! I was working on bookings, contacting suppliers and doing a bit research for more product development! Everything went fine until suddenly the internet was gone!

We were waiting and waiting, since this sometimes happens, but the internet connection did not come back. Since we are all dependent on the internet, since most of our servers are located in Stockholm, we were unable to work. Even our phones were not working, since they are VoIP-phones.

So, we were cut off from the rest of the world and were unable to do our day-to-day business. Some colleagues started cleaning and cleaning up the office, others tried to fix the problem and others were doing paper-based work and so was I; I was doing some research for new tours, was reading through LonelyPlanet and Rough Guide for Norway and gathered some new ideas.

In between I went out of the office to get ice cream for everybody, who wanted. So we were sitting in the office, killing time and eating ice cream.

This situation went on for over three hours and it was just terrible. Being actually busy, but unable to work is one of the worst things to happen. When the internet finally came back everybody was annoyed, the mood was at rock bottom and it was hard to come back into the working pace.

In the end I even got into a small argument with T. about a minor thing. We have both a temper and were both so annoyed by the situation, that we nearly were yelling at each other over nothing. Eventually we both calmed down and found a solution together.

Now I am finally home, after finishing some all my stuff for today and will relax now! I am super tired and pretty done from this situation today! Killing time sometimes is more exhausting than a lot of work!
